Henriette Rosenak, adored wife for over 70 years of the late Irwin; honored mother of Elsa (Mary) and David (Judy); loving grandmother of Rachel (Rick), Adam, and Rebecca (Steffen); cherished great-grandmother of Elena, Sam, Anna, and Jacob, died at age 97 on Sunday, October 3, 2010.

A long-time resident of Marco Island, FL; Henriette was a remarkable, bright, independent woman of tremendous spirit and vitality who was a role model to her family and to her many friends.

After marrying her beloved "Bud" in Terre Haute , IN during the Depression, she happily filled the roles of supportive companion to her husband and mother to her children while serving in leadership roles at Temple Beth El in Hammond, IN. She and Bud were founding members and strong supporters of the Jewish Congregation of Marco Island, where she started the gift shop and was a devoted participant in Friday night services. For over 50 years, she transcribed countless book in numerous languages into Braille., a skill in which she was still actively engaged at the end of her life. Henriette was a voracious reader, an expert at all manner of puzzles , and an excellent bridge player. She enjoyed classical music and was a frequent supporter of classical concerts.

She will be forever in the hearts of her loving family and friends.
